The Reiki Club Blog: Working with Crystals

Crystals are truly amazing spectacles of healing.  They are able to hold and conduct energies better than just about any other physical creation.  You need to realize when working with crystals that crystals have a consciousness and they even have emotions (although it's not the same as our emotions).  They get happy when they help people!  

Here are some rules of thumb when working with crystals to help you have more fruitful interactions with them.  

Rule of Thumb #1:  Talk to them when you charge them.  

They get excited when they have a chance to work with humans.  It's a great honor for them.  Most of the crystal formation just work with Gaia in conducting energy for the planet but when they get excavated it's a big opportunity to work with humans and do deeper work.  They love that.  When you work with them, tell them that you love them and that you're truly grateful for their service.  They'll light for you. 

Rule of Thumb #2:  Use sage a lot when working with them.

Sage clears in amazing ways and crystals need to get charged and recharged often.  Crystals take on residual negative energy when doing their work as well, so you need to clear them even if you're not recharging them.  Try to do daily or at the very least weekly sage clearings of your crystals to keep them fresh and energized in an amazing way.  

Rule of Thumb #3:  Try to avoid using galactic types of Reiki when charging crystals.

Energies that are not from this system usually don't work well with crystals.  Working with the Pleiadians, Sirians or Arcturians is amazing but when working with crystals these energies don't conduct well with the earth crystals.  This has to do with the actual molecular compounds of the crystals and how they're formed.  Use more traditional types of Reiki, like Usui or Karuna Reiki.
